Cast Iron Shoes is a fiddle-driven Americana / Folk band from Texas; a must-see live act showcasing an energized retro sound, fantastic musicianship, and brilliant songwriting that speaks to the heart of the underdog.
Fronted by singer-songwriter and badass fiddle player Nicole Ridgwell, the band wins crowds hearts by playing their rebellious alt country in a vintage style. Ridgwell gives audiences uninspired by mainstream music a whole set of brand new red hot swampy folk songs full of honesty and the dream of starting a new life.
For years, Nicole played fiddle in bands while working in the film industry as a support artist, sharing a stage with acts like Emmylou Harris, Lost Dog Street Band, and Brothers Comatose. Now she’s started her own damn band, with a rock’n’roll style that reflects her love of Louisiana blues, two stepping, desert thunderstorms, and underestimated underdogs who deserve a second chance.
